La ville fut le th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la bataille de Rocroi en 1643, une victoire fran\u00e7aise d\u00e9cisive pendant la guerre de Trente Ans. Aujourd&#039;hui, les fortifications g\u00e9om\u00e9triques sont rest\u00e9es intactes, offrant aux visiteurs une occasion rare d&#039;admirer un exemple aussi complet de ce style de d\u00e9fense.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"inside-the-walls\">\u00c0 l&#039;int\u00e9rieur des murs<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l&#039;int\u00e9rieur des remparts, les rues pav\u00e9es, les maisons traditionnelles en pierre et la place centrale cr\u00e9ent un cadre charmant.
