Je kunt 2-3 uur ronddwalen in deze oude stad. De entreeprijzen zijn laag. Er zijn zelfs vrije dagen dat je de ru\u00efnes kunt bezoeken. De eerste zondag van elke maand, van oktober tot juni, zijn gratis bezoekdagen. De algemene prijs is 6 euro, voor onder de 30 jaar is het 4 euro en onder de 16 is gratis. Met de audiotour leer je meer over de specifieke regio's van de oude stad en haar rijke cultuur. De audiotour vertelt veel verhalen over het verleden. Ik raad het ten zeerste aan om de ru\u00efnes tot leven te brengen. We bezochten het tijdens het laagseizoen, terwijl er bijna niemand anders was. In het eerste deel van de stad vind je meerdere overblijfselen van de handelsplaats. Het wordt ook wel het Necropolis-gedeelte genoemd waar je een oud Grieks standbeeld van Aesclepius kunt vinden. Later werd de Griekse stad bezet door de Romeinen in 218 voor Christus. Verderop op de heuvel vind je de Romeinse invloeden. Je vindt er een oud badhuis, meerdere indelingen van huizen met een binnenplaats, en je ziet de hoofdwegen in en uit de stad. Er is een amfitheater net buiten de stadsmuren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De plaats is groot, maar ze hebben slechts 20% van de ru\u00efnes van de Romeinse stad opgegraven. Dit betekent dat de oorspronkelijke stad veel groter is. Het is indrukwekkend om alle overblijfselen te zien en te luisteren naar de verhalen op de audiogids die de plek echt tot leven brengen. Van juli tot half september vragen ze een vergoeding voor de parkeerplaats, die je bij de ingang kunt betalen. Er is een mooi strand in de buurt met prachtige kleuren tijdens de zonsondergang.
