How to make an iced matcha latte
Making iced matcha latte at home is not hard. You only need matcha powder, water, a milk frother, plant-based milk, and of course ice cubes. Some people say you need a bamboo whisk to mix your water and matcha, but from my experience a milk frother works great. It gives a perfect foam layer to my matcha. Here you can find a great milk frother.
To make an iced matcha latte, it is important to know that making it with only cold water can lead to clumps. Therefore, my recipe uses hot water to make the matcha tea and then add in cold water to take the temperature down.

Make a special matcha latte
A matcha latte is a perfect drink to variate. For example, some of the additions that you can make are:
- Vanilla; Firstly, add in some vanilla powder/sugar or use vanilla plant-based milk.
- Cinnamon; Secondly, add a pinch of cinnamon powder to the matcha to create a new flavor.
- Mango purée; Also, adding fruits is delicious. On the bottom of your matcha latte, add in around 2 tablespoons of puréed mangoes to give a fruity tastes.
- Strawberry purée; as last similar to the mango, add in strawberries and mash them to a purée.
With this in mind, it is time to make your homemade iced matcha latte.
