What to know about Valencia
Camper place to easily visit Valencia
There are multiple possibilities to stay close by Valencia. We stayed at NOMADIC camping car park Valencia, we paid โฌ17.70 per night including electricity in December. This place is a perfect place to start exploring Valencia. It is a quick 5-minute walk to the metro station and just a 40-min bike ride towards Valencia city, but I will tell you more about that underneath. This camper place has all the necessary facilities; toilet, shower, 10-16amps electricity, large plots, place to wash your dishes, excellent washing machine and dryer, trees that can be used to dry your fresh clothes between and a dumping and filling station.
Explore by Bike
Valencia is a perfect city to explore by bike. From the NOMADIC camping car park, it is only a 40-minute ride towards the city center. If you do not have your own bike, the camping car park has bikes available for rental. You can ride along the coast towards the city and continue your ride through the riverbed. The biking lanes towards and inside Valencia are perfect, and you will feel safe. Also, the biking lane in the river bedding is a unique experience. It leads you along the modern buildings of Valencia, while you ride along the nature in a big city. To go back to the NOMADIC camping car park, you take the direct biking lane, which is an almost straight line and on a well-kept path. Taking your bike is not the only possibility to visit Valencia, so read further for the other option.

Visit by Metro from the camper place
The city is also accessible by metro from the camper place. You will need a ticket for zone AB and if you charge 2 on 1 ticket, a return, you will pay โฌ5.20 per person. So in total, for 2 return tickets towards the city center of Valencia, you will spend โฌ10.40. Taking the metro gives you the opportunity to discover the center of the city more easily. You can enjoy the little streets and beautiful old buildings at your own pace. All in all, the metro is a good transportation if you are not able or willing to bike towards the city.
Highlights of Valencia
We really enjoyed our time in Valencia, because of the nature that can be found all around the city and the style of the buildings around the city. There are a few highlights that are definitely worth your time.
- Indoor Central Market ; This place is a perfect way to get your lunch for a picnic. You can find all different kinds of fresh products from local farmers.
- Torres de Serranos; If you want to see the city from above, then this is the place to go to. This tower is usually free to climb, and it gives you amazing views over the city.
- Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias; This is the science museum along the riverbed with beautiful new architectural buildings.
- Pont l’Assut de l’Or; The famous bridge of Valencia, which looks like a harp.
- Playa de la Malvarrosa; One of the beaches along the coast of Valencia. I highly recommend visiting at least one of the beautiful sand beaches along the coast. Because, it is beautiful to see the gorgeous beach next to a busy, modern architectural city.
- Jardรญ del Tรบria; This is the famous riverbed where you can walk and drive through. It is a beautiful location to spend the day.
There are more buildings in the city that are worth a visit, but you will discover them yourself when walking along the center of Valencia.
