Tasty Travel Life

Hi, I’m Mendy.

It started in New Zealand

A master’s internship in biopharmaceutical sciences took me to New Zealand. My boyfriend came along, and six months of research grew into six more months of travelling in our own camper van. We stayed for exactly one year—the full length of our visas.

The road changed what mattered

New Zealand’s landscapes were unforgettable, but camper life left the deepest mark. The quiet of nature and the freedom of living with less made us look at everyday life differently. There was still so much of Europe we had never seen, so the journey continued closer to home.

A tiny kitchen is part of the story

My relationship with food has not always been easy. Over time, I learned to listen more closely to what my body needs and to enjoy food again. I choose vegan food because it feels kinder to animals and lighter on the planet. The recipes I share are full of flavour, but practical enough for a camper kitchen.

Why Tasty Travel Life?

The name describes the way I like to travel: finding beautiful places, taking the slower road and never being too far from a good meal or snack. This blog is my collection of those places, recipes and lessons from life on the move.

You don’t need much to feel rich: a quiet place, something good to eat and time to notice both.

If this blog encourages you to take the scenic route, cook something good in a tiny kitchen or pay closer attention to the nature around you, it has done exactly what I hoped.

See you on the road,Mendy
